Ensure your shipment is fully protected by matching the insured value with the declared value on your Customs Declaration Form (Commercial Invoice). Accurate declarations help prevent errors and protect against fraudulent claims.
If you choose not to purchase additional insurance, ShippingXPS and our carrier partners (including FedEx, UPS, USPS and DHL) are only liable for up to $100 per shipment in case of loss or damage.
Shopping from US-based stores as an international shopper can be tricky – high shipping costs, multiple deliveries and excess packaging are just a few of the challenges. That’s where we come in. ShippingXPS offers a seamless parcel forwarding and consolidation solution, so you can shop from your favorite brands and enjoy secure & cost-effective deliveries right to your doorstep, no matter where in the world you are!
Parcel insurance is a smart choice for anyone looking to protect their shipments from unexpected mishaps. Here’s who can benefit the most:
Parcel insurance protects your shipments against loss, damage or theft during transit. If your parcel is misplaced or arrives damaged, insurance ensures you receive compensation based on the insured value. It’s highly recommended for high-value items, fragile goods or international shipments.
When you purchase parcel insurance with ShippingXPS, your shipment is covered up to the declared value listed on your Customs Declaration Form (Commercial Invoice). If your parcel is lost or damaged, you can file a claim within the required timeframe and receive reimbursement based on the insured value.
The insured amount must match the declared value on your Customs Declaration Form. For example, if your parcel is valued at $100, you cannot insure it for $500.
Without additional insurance, the liability of ShippingXPS and our carrier partners (FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL) is limited to $100 per shipment in case of loss or damage. Any amount exceeding this will not be reimbursed.
  • Our insurance covers:
  • Lost Parcels: If the carrier misplaces your shipment, you can file a claim.
  • Damaged Items: If your parcel arrives broken, insurance covers repair or replacement costs.
Most parcels are eligible for insurance; however, prohibited or restricted items may not be covered. If you’re unsure, contact us at info@shippingxps.com before shipping.
