How to cancel a bid on eBay?

Accidents happen. While you can retract a bid in some cases, you can’t do it in all cases on eBay.

A bid can be retracted if:

Seller has made substantial alterations to the item description.
You’ve bid the wrong amount. In this case, simply put in the price you wanted to bid as soon as you withdrew the wrong bid.

In addition to the above, timing is also important:

All bids will be collected if there are 12 hours or more remaining before the listing ends.
If the listing is ended before 12 hours, you can retract your most recent bid so long as it’s been less than 1 hour since you placed the bid.

Note that not all the time you make a bid can you retract it. It is not possible to withdraw bids in categories like trading cards. If you’re unable to retract a bid, you could also contact the seller to see if they’ll cancel your bid on your behalf. The seller’s decision to cancel is at his/her sole discretion.

If you have to cancel an order, notify the seller ASAP. The seller won’t be able to cancel the order if the seller has already shipped the order.
